You get all his radio hits on one album, and there are 4 previously unreleased recordings here. If you have been listening to Pac's music for years like I have, this is still a great addition to your collection, even if you have these songs already. If you do not like greatest hit albums or compilations, and wish to buy his studio albums instead, I would recommend to start with 2Pacalypse Now and chronilogically work your way up to the very last album he recorded while he was alive, Makaveli: The Don Killuminati The 7 Day Theory. If you are new to his music, this is a good place to start, as you get a good selection of songs and a wide range of his abilites. However, it really is impossible to make a compilation of Tupac's best songs, as he just has too many classics. Alot of these songs are just as good, if not even better, then the ones on this album.
I know this is meant to be a Greatest Hits album, but many of Pac's best songs were his lesser known and more obscure tracks.
First, many of my personal fav songs from Pac arent on here. "Hail Mary" remains one of the deepest and greatest songs of all time, in any musical genre.ĭespite all the gems here, I do have some minor problems with this album. Just about every song on here is a timeless gem, and it could be argued that this is the best compilation of Tupac songs ever put together. This album displays all sides of Pac as he is known: from his love of strong women, his obsessions with death, his political upbringing, his sheer, raw emotion, to his rage. If you are even just a casual listener of rap music, you will probably know most of these songs, as many of them topped the charts and are among some of the most famous hip hop songs ever recorded. "Greatest Hits" is a compilation of Pac's biggest and most well known hits. Anyways, with that said, lets talk about the album at hand: Tupac's Greatest Hits. I will not bother myself with the ignorance that has plauged the review of this album.Ill just say that Infamous Dogg has to be one of the most ignorant indivduals ive ever had the displeasure of coming across on the internet. This is a great collection of songs, and some are edited for legal reasons. What makes him so good is that he raps about things that actually happen to him when he's not talking about sex or cursing out east coast rappers.
